UPSC Sutra ("we", "us", "our") is a product of INCAL EDUCOM LLP, a company registered in India. We operate the UPSC Sutra platform at upscsutra.com and its subdomains (including app.upscsutra.com), which provides curated current affairs content, daily quizzes, and exam preparation tools for UPSC aspirants.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Name, email address, and phone number (provided during registration)
• Google account details (if you sign in via Google OAuth)
• Profile preferences and settings

Usage Data

• Articles read, quizzes attempted, quiz scores, and streaks
• Time spent on the platform and feature interactions

Technical Data

• IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
• Access timestamps, session duration, and log files

Payment Information

Payment transactions are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card or bank details. Razorpay's privacy policy governs payment data handling.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Deliver and personalise UPSC Sutra content and quiz services
• Calculate streaks, scores, and leaderboard rankings
• Send daily current affairs digests, quiz reminders, and important notifications via email, push, Telegram, or WhatsApp (based on your preferences)
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
• Improve our content pipeline and platform features

4. Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive:

• Transactional communications: Daily briefs, quiz results, streak alerts, payment receipts — cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
• Promotional communications: New features, offers, and updates — opt-out available at any time via Settings or by replying "STOP" to WhatsApp/Telegram messages.

5. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third parties solely to operate our services:

• Deleted accounts: Personal data purged within 30 days of deletion request (except transaction records)

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Row-Level Security (RLS) on all database tables
• API key rotation and server-side authentication
• Regular security audits

8. Your Rights

9. Children's Privacy

UPSC Sutra is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
